PROFILE OF THE JOSEPH YOBO FOUNDATION
The Joseph Yobo Foundation is dedicated to serve the needs of less privileged children and youths in the impoverished communities of Nigeria’s Niger Delta region. The foundation’s support areas are mainly in Education, Youths Sports Development and Health Education.

  THE FOUNDATION

The Joseph Yobo Foundation was established in June 2005 for the purpose of raising awareness and capital towards making a positive impact on the children and less privileged population in Nigeria’s Niger Deltaic region. Joseph is not unaware of the many opportunities created for youth development in the area but has become increasingly passionate about keeping the less privileged out of the streets. While majority of efforts are being targeted at in-school youths, Joseph’s dream is both for those in-school and in-the-streets. The foundation’s goal is a holistic approach and one that is ultimately aimed at improving the well-being and development of children and young people.
The foundation has its international headquarters in Chicago, State of Illinois in the United States of America and also has branches in Rivers State, Nigeria and Liverpool, United Kingdom. See details of the addresses at the Contact US section of this website. Read More

ABOUT THE FOUNDER (Joseph Yobo) Born on the 6th of September 1980 at Kono town in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, Joseph Yobo is an idol to many. He is the product of a dutiful Christian home who demonstrates strong virtues of love in his daily endeavors. Joseph is a strong advocate of private and public sector investment in the development of children and youths. His conviction is that no child chooses where to be born or into which family to be christened and therefore deserves the helping hand of the fortunate, wealthy and better opportuned in society to earn a living. Even as a young football talent, Joseph has not hidden his passion to lend a hand. He has played club football in few local teams in Nigeria, the Olympique Marseille in France before teaming up with Everton of England as central defender. Joseph believes that with a strong support and guidance, the indigent and less privileged will be the cornerstone of tomorrow’s youthful world. Read Full Biography
